To eliminate the need for frequent battery changes, a solar panel was mounted on top of the motion sensor. If the sensor will be positioned indoors or in dimly lit places, it can also be charged using the USB charging wire that comes with it.

For total coverage of your property, it can be expanded to up to four sensors and an endless number of receivers. The driveway alarm features four settings for alert sounds and six volume level changes to match the various motion sensors on your property so you can tell where motion is being detected.

This is a fantastic approach to safeguard your property because the solar sensor and receiver can both detect alarm signals from up to half a mile away (the actual range will vary depending on the local topography). The sensor "eye" has a detection range of 30FT (Low: 20ft, High: 30ft), which can be adjusted to reduce false alerts.
